"And So it Begins..."

Oh King Theoden, we are really in it now. (Yes, I'm starting my first blog post ever with a Lord of The Rings quote, but trust me, it's necessary)

Anyway, please excuse my nerdy moment. Let's get into it.

After a lot of painting, planning, second-guessing, rearranging, tweaking, and staring at my website wondering, “Is this actually ready?” , I’m finally taking the plunge and launching tomorrow.

There are quite a few exciting things coming to the studio over the next couple of months, so I wanted to give you a little peek at what’s ahead.

September 26: The Website Launches!

The doors are officially opening!

My website will be live and ready to explore, with original artwork, prints, information about my work, and a little glimpse into what I’ve been creating.

This feels like a pretty big milestone for me. For a long time, making art was something I did quietly, mostly for myself. Now I’m taking the slightly terrifying (but very exciting!) step of putting it out into the world.

So… welcome to my little corner of the internet. I hope you find it as cozy as your softest blanket and as inviting as your favorite book.

September 26: Print Club Signups Open

Also launching on September 26: Print Club!

I’ve been dreaming up a way to share new artwork and seasonal joy with people regularly without making everything feel like a giant sales pitch.

That’s where my Print Club comes in.

Members will receive a new art print each month, featuring artwork from the studio, along with 3-5 little additions (think seasonal recipes, handwritten notes, stickers, and anything else that fits that month's theme). These prints will only be available through the Print Club, and once the month has passed, they will be gone forever.

There will be more details when signups open, but if you love collecting art, supporting independent artists, or just getting a little piece of something beautiful in the mail every month, this might be for you!

October 1: Monthly Newsletter Begins

On October 1, I’ll be sending out my very first Monthly Newsletter!

Think of it as a little studio visit delivered to your inbox.

I’ll be sharing what I’ve been working on, new paintings, behind-the-scenes bits, upcoming projects, studio happenings, and whatever else I think might be interesting along the way.

I don't want this to be one of those newsletters that you open and immediately think, “Ah yes, another email trying to sell me something.”

I want it to feel more like a letter from the studio, filled with little joys and lessons-learned and everything in between.

October 1: Monthly Print Club Begins

And then… the first Print Club shipment!

This is the beginning of what I hope becomes a really fun little monthly tradition.

Every month, there will be a new print making its way from my studio to Print Club members. I'm especially excited about the idea that these pieces will eventually become a little collection, tiny snapshots of what I was creating at different points in time.

November 1: Commissions Open

And finally… Commissions!

Starting November 1, I’ll be opening a limited number of commission spots for custom artwork (sadly, not as many as I would like to, but I will plan to open one commission spot per month for now while I ease into the commissions process)

If you've ever wanted a painting made specifically for you (a favorite place, a beloved pet, a meaningful object, a special memory, or something completely unique) I'll be opening the doors for those requests. I will take the first two requests immediately, then have a waitlist for others to join.

More information about the commission process and pricing will be available before then, so there will be plenty of time to think about what you might want.

It feels a little surreal seeing all of these dates written down. There is still so much I want to learn, make, paint, experiment with, and figure out. This is really just the beginning.
