About Me
Hi, I'm Jessica, the artist behind Jessica Lynn Art Studio.
I've spent more than a decade exploring watercolor, oil paint, pastels, colored pencil, and other traditional art mediums, always searching for new ways to capture the beauty and wonder I find in the natural world. I'm especially drawn to the quiet moments that often go unnoticed: sunlight filtering through trees, the colors reflected on water, wildflowers along a path, or the peaceful feeling of being completely present in nature.
My love for art began long before I ever considered it as a career. As a child, I was happiest with a box of art supplies in front of me, eager to create anything I could imagine. Throughout school I was rarely far from a sketchbook, filling notebooks with drawings whenever inspiration struck. Although I went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering and built a career solving technical problems, art remained the place where I felt most like myself; a way to slow down, reconnect, and find joy in the midst of everyday life.
Over time, I realized that engineering and fine art aren't as different as they seem. Engineering taught me patience, observation, and attention to detail, while painting reminds me to embrace curiosity, emotion, and wonder. Together, they shape the way I see and move through the world.
Today, I'm following my passion for art wholeheartedly.
Every painting I create is an invitation to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the beauty that surrounds us. Whether I'm painting a detailed botanical study, a luminous landscape, or an expressive abstract, my hope is that each piece brings a sense of peace, curiosity, and joy into someone's space.
I believe art has the power to preserve moments that might otherwise slip away from us; a quiet morning filled with sunlight, the stillness of a winter forest, or the delicate beauty of a single flower in bloom. Through my work, I hope to capture those fleeting moments of wonder and share them with others.
